This is the first time that a building in Vietnam has been awarded this prestigious regional award for the “Best Green Building Development”.

At the Gala Night at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore on 24.11.2016 with more than 400 Real Estate Industry leaders in South East Asia, the “South East Asia Property Awards” presented by Hansgrohe, organised by PropertyGuru and supervised by BDO, recognized the best of the best real estate developers and real estate projects in the ASEAN region.

Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City, the winner of the “Vietnam Property Awards 2016” for the “Best Commercial Development”, the “Best Office Development” and the “Best Green Development” represented Vietnam for the first time at the “South East Asia Property Awards 2016” this year.

“For us this award is incentive and motivation at the same time. The credit goes  not only to the excellent teamwork between our investors, the board of management, the team of Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City, the Federal Republic of Germany represented by the Federal Foreign Office, the Vietnamese Government and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, together with our award-winning and world renowned architects GMP, and MACE our project and construction management, but also to our leading consultants, partners and contractors, such as Drees & Sommer, WSP, Arcadis, Indochine Engineering, TWOG, Asia Counsel, BAUER, ASA, Aurecon, VietinBank, Hoa Binh, R.E.E M&E, thyssenkrupp, CNYD, Colliers International, Sellhorn Hafkemeyer and Duc Phuong Trading Corporation, just to name a few.

We are very honored that the independent jury of international real estate professionals and experts recognized Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City in its development phase not only as an outstanding green landmark development building in Ho Chi Minh City for Vietnam and the ASEAN region, but also as a success story in the making and showcasing the best innovative, sustainable, green building design and development”, Mr. Horst Geicke, Chairman & Investor of Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City, stated.

The construction of Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City has been under way since November 2014. Currently, the shell of the building has been completed with finishing works on going. Completion of the building will be in August 2017.

Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City will be an award-winning, pioneering, premium International Grade A+ office tower strategically located on the corner of Le Duan Boulevard and Le Van Huu Street in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. The 25-storey building consists of approximately 40,000 sqm GFA of prime office real estate including retail areas, a multifunctional exhibition, event and conference area, the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City and restaurant areas with an outdoor terrace.

With its prominent location in Ho Chi Minh City, Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City will be the ultimate destination to do business with ASEAN and Vietnam for German and Central European headquartered companies and institutions. At the same time, Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City will be the ideal trading platform for Vietnamese companies doing business with Germany and the European Union.

The concept of Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City was derived from the requirement to create a formal expression of Germany and reflect its role as an industrial and technological leader in the architectural language. The glass façade opens up the high-rise building to the public and reveals some of its internal functions.

The design takes into account the underlying urban development conditions and planning specifications of the site. Its striking presence unites high technical qualities with transparent elegance.

The building presents itself to the city as a transparent and inviting building with a cost-effective design, low energy consumption, the use of ecological building materials and LEED Platinum Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum Certification). Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City is the first commercial building in Vietnam and one of the few in South East Asia, which is certified with LEED Platinum Certificate. In addition, the double façade serves to emphasize the energy-saving structure under the climatic conditions of Vietnam.

The high-rise building is divided into two complexes that are linked through a recessed glazed connection that constitutes both the central circulation area and hosts particular functions such as the restaurant and the Consulate General. The design of the complexes presents expressive, sculptural architecture and reflects the urban design requirements which are laid out in the government agreement. The sleekness of the glass façade enhances the sculptural expression.
